> Source: https://docs.virtuo.in/vio/features > A page-by-page tour of the Vio dashboard — call logs, analytics, the agent editor, numbers, SIP trunks, the dialer, callbacks, tools and integrations. # Features **Vio is an AI voice agent platform, and this page is a quick tour of every area in the dashboard.** Each section below says what a page does and links to its full guide, so you can jump straight to the part you need. Vio splits into three jobs: **build an agent** (its voice, persona, and what it should do), **connect a phone number** (import a Twilio number or bring your own carrier), and **review every call** (transcripts, recordings, summaries, extracted data, and per-call cost). The four areas most people live in: New to Vio? Start at [**Getting started → Sign in**](/vio/getting-started/sign-in), then [**Create an agent**](/vio/getting-started/create-agent) and [**Connect a number**](/vio/getting-started/connect-a-number). ## Overview The dashboard landing page. Headline metric cards give you today's snapshot at a glance — **today's calls**, **average call duration**, **total cost (₹)**, and **active agents** — plus quick links into your busiest areas. It is the fastest way to confirm the platform is live and calls are flowing before you dig into detail on the [**Analytics**](/vio/call-logs/analytics) page. ## Call Logs The heart of Vio. **Every real call** — inbound and outbound — lands here with its full **transcript**, an optional **recording**, an **AI summary**, the **variables the agent extracted** (name, order number, whatever you asked it to collect), a **sentiment** read, a **goal-met** flag, and the exact **cost in ₹** with a per-component breakdown. Search and filter to find any conversation. See [**Call Logs**](/vio/call-logs). In-browser **test calls are not logged** and do not cost anything — that is by design. Place a real call to see a log entry. See [**Test your agent**](/vio/getting-started/test-your-agent). ## Analytics Call volume over time and an outcome breakdown (goal-met vs. not, sentiment mix, average duration and cost). This is where you spot trends — busiest hours, which agent converts best, where callers drop off. Analytics is **expanding during Beta**, so expect new charts to appear. See [**Analytics**](/vio/call-logs/analytics). ## Agents The eight-tab **agent editor** — everything that defines how your AI voice agent behaves. Pick an [**engine and voice**](/vio/agents/engines-and-voices), write the [**persona and prompt**](/vio/agents/persona), define [**variables**](/vio/agents/variables) to collect, wire up [**tools**](/vio/agents/tools), and set what happens after a call under [**analysis, actions & fulfilment**](/vio/agents/analysis-actions-fulfilment). You can also start from an industry [**template**](/vio/agents/templates) and tune [**advanced**](/vio/agents/advanced) behaviours like caller memory. See [**Agents**](/vio/agents). ## Knowledge Base Upload documents (price lists, FAQs, policies) that your agents can reference on a call, so answers stay accurate without stuffing everything into the prompt. Documents are processed after upload and show their status as they go — once a document is **ready**, agents can draw on it. Put genuinely must-know facts in the agent's [**persona and prompt**](/vio/agents/persona) as well; the knowledge base is for the long tail you would not want to paste into a prompt. ## Numbers Two pages under **Numbers**: - **My Numbers** — the numbers you already have. **Assign an agent** to each so inbound calls are answered immediately, and set which numbers may place outbound calls. - **Buy Numbers** — browse numbers in stock and buy one with your [wallet](/vio/pricing) balance. The number is **wired as part of the purchase**, so when it succeeds it is already receiving calls; there is no second activation step to forget. You can also keep your existing numbers on your own carrier — see [**SIP Trunks**](/vio/telephony/sip-trunks). See [**Numbers**](/vio/telephony/numbers). ## Appointments Agents can **check availability and book appointments during a call**. You set **booking hours** per agent, and the agent offers only slots that are genuinely free, confirms the date back to the caller out loud, and emails them a calendar invite. **An agent with no booking hours declines every request.** Absent availability means "not bookable", deliberately — so the booking-hours editor is the on-switch, not a refinement. Set it before you expect an agent to book anything. Vio is the system of record for bookings. A connected Google Calendar is a mirror and a free/busy check on top, not the source of truth. ## Billing Your **prepaid wallet** — current balance, **Add funds**, the full transaction history of every credit and debit, and a **tax invoice** (PDF) for each recharge. See [**Pricing & billing**](/vio/pricing). **An empty wallet stops your calls**, inbound as well as outbound. Keep a buffer. ## SIP Trunks **Bring your own carrier (BYOC).** Point your own telecom provider or on-premise PBX (for example a FreePBX box) at Vio over a SIP trunk, so calls run on your existing lines and numbers while the AI agent does the talking. Supports both inbound and outbound. See [**SIP Trunks**](/vio/telephony/sip-trunks). ## Outbound Dialer Run **outbound campaigns** from a contact list. Upload a **CSV**, choose an agent, and Vio dials your list with **pacing** (so you don't blast everyone at once) and **automatic retries** for no-answers. Finished calls get the same **AI analytics** as any other call. See [**Outbound campaigns**](/vio/telephony/outbound-campaigns). ## Callbacks Follow-up calls the agent **schedules for itself**. If a caller asks to be rung back later, or the agent decides a follow-up is warranted, it books a callback and Vio places the call at the right time. See [**Callbacks**](/vio/telephony/callbacks). ## Tools The actions an agent can take mid-call — **built-in tools** (like transferring to a human or ending the call) and **webhook tools** that call your own API to look something up or write a record. Tools are what turn a talking agent into one that actually does things. See [**Tools**](/vio/agents/tools). ## Integrations Connect Vio to the systems you already use — calendar, sheets, CRM, e-commerce and messaging. **The catalogue only offers connectors we can actually complete for you**: one that is not fully available shows as *coming soon* rather than letting you connect it and quietly do nothing. So the Integrations page in your dashboard, not this list, is the accurate account of what is live today. For anything not listed, a [**webhook tool**](/vio/agents/tools) lets an agent call your own API mid-call, and [**webhooks**](/vio/api/webhooks) push results into your systems after the call. ## Assistant An in-dashboard **AI helper** that answers "how do I…" questions and can look up **your own call stats** ("how many calls did agent X handle today?"). It appears as a **floating widget** on every page and as a **fullscreen tab** for longer sessions. It also includes a **voice-prompt generator** — describe the agent you want in plain language and it drafts the **system prompt and greeting** for you, which you can drop straight into the [**agent editor**](/vio/agents/persona). ## Settings Five tabs: | Tab | What it does | |---|---| | **Notifications** | Which [email alerts](/vio/features#email-alerts) go out, how often, and to whom — per alert type. | | **API keys** | Create, rotate and revoke keys for the [Vio REST API](/vio/api), with a scope picker and an activity log. | | **Webhooks** | Register HTTPS endpoints that receive a [signed event](/vio/api/webhooks) when a call completes, with retries and a delivery log. | | **Billing details** | Your registered name, address and GSTIN: the "Bill To" block on your [tax invoices](/vio/pricing#tax-invoices). Fill this in **before** your first recharge. | | **Help & Docs** | Guides, and how to reach us. | ### Email alerts Vio can email your team when something happens. Each type has its own cadence — **off**, **instant**, or a **daily digest** — and its own recipient list, under **Settings → Notifications**. | Alert | Fires when | Default | |---|---|---| | **New lead captured** | Your agent collected a name, number or email during a call. | **Instant** | | **Call handed to a human** | A caller asked for a person and the agent transferred them. | Off | | **Missed call** | Someone called your number and nobody was reached. | Off | | **Call summary** | A short recap after each completed call. Campaign calls are excluded. | Off | | **Campaign finished or paused** | A campaign completed, or stopped early and needs attention. | Off | | **Low balance** | Your balance is running out, or a call was refused for lack of funds. | Off | Everything except the lead alert starts **off**, so switching Vio on never starts mailing your team unannounced. **Turn on "Low balance" if you rely on Vio for inbound calls.** An empty wallet refuses calls, and this is the alert that warns you before it does — but it is off until you enable it. ## API & webhooks Everything the dashboard does, your own systems can do. The **[REST API](/vio/api)** places calls, reads transcripts, manages agents and campaigns, and syncs leads — authenticated with a scoped key you create in **Settings → API keys**. **[Webhooks](/vio/api/webhooks)** push signed events to your server the moment a call ends, so you do not have to poll. Both are enabled on every workspace; there is nothing to request. ## Admin *Admin-only.* Manage the **users** and **companies** in your workspace — invite teammates and organise access. This area only appears for accounts with admin rights. --- ## FAQ **Q. Where do I see how much a call cost?** Open any real call in [**Call Logs**](/vio/call-logs) — the cost in ₹ is shown per call with a breakdown. Test calls placed in the browser are free and are not logged. **Q. Which parts of Vio are not fully live yet?** Some **Integrations** connectors are still coming online, and the catalogue marks those *coming soon* rather than letting you connect them. Everything else is available today — agents, the knowledge base, numbers and the number store, SIP trunks, the outbound dialer, callbacks, appointments, tools, call logs, billing, email alerts, webhooks, and the [REST API](/vio/api). **Q. Do I need to ask for API access?** No. The API is enabled on every workspace — create a key under **Settings → API keys**. See the [API reference](/vio/api). **Q. Do I have to build an agent from scratch?** No. Start from an industry [**template**](/vio/agents/templates), or describe your agent to the [**Assistant's**](/vio/agents) voice-prompt generator and let it draft the prompt and greeting for you. --- Want a step-by-step recipe for a specific task?
