Each one pre-fills the system prompt, opening greeting, a valid voice, the variables to collect, and a success rubric — so a brand-new agent is ready to go live and will always speak. Pick one that matches your business and you can be taking calls in minutes, then tailor later.
How templates work
When you create a new agent, Vio offers three ways to start:
- Use — go live with the template as-is. Everything is pre-filled and valid.
- Use & tailor — start from the template and open the AI generator to customise the prompt and greeting for your business.
- Blank — start from an empty agent and build every tab yourself.
Because a template always sets a valid voice, greeting, prompt, variables, and rubric, an agent created this way will never sit silent on a call.

Each template’s prompt, greeting, variables, and rubric are tuned for that job — for example the Real Estate Lead Qualifier collects budget and location out of the box, while the E-commerce Support agent expects an order id.

Q. What’s the difference between “Use” and “Use & tailor”? Use goes live with the template unchanged. Use & tailor starts from the same template but opens the AI generator so you can customise the prompt and greeting before going live.
Q. Can I change a template agent after creating it? Yes. A template only pre-fills the tabs — every field stays fully editable. Change the voice, prompt, variables, tools, and behaviour whenever you like.
